With the introduction of Icon of the Seas to the public in January, Royal Caribbean revealed new concepts, venues, and upgraded changes that will be setting a standard for their ships going forward. We saw several changes to the classic Royal dining venues with Icon, one of those being Izumi Hibachi and Sushi.
Izumi in the Park
The fan favorite sushi spot onboard has been given a new location on Icon, right in the heart of Central Park. A blossoming cherry tree sculpture greets you as you enter the beautiful dining room where you can enjoy a delicious teppanyaki or sushi dinner.
But, just around the corner from the entrance is Izumi in the Park- a specialty takeout window where guests can order their favorite sushi to-go, a popular new quick, grab-and-go option for those who want to enjoy sushi without having to book a table.

Izumi in the Park offers a delicious menu featuring rolls, sashimi, dumplings, and bubble cone ice cream- all of which can be enjoyed as late as 10pm!

Only the Beginning
Izumi in the Park has debuted on Icon, but this is only the beginning. This venue will also be on Utopia of the Seas, and Star of the Seas as well. Royal has also just announced a 7th Oasis Class ship that is a sister to Utopia, so we expect to see Izumi in the Park on that ship as well, along with all the future Icon Class vessels.
This dining option gives passengers the chance to enjoy an elevated specialty menu each and every day, without having to reserve a table at this popular restaurant.
