Holland America has just announced enhancements coming to their private Bahamas destination – Half Moon Cay. One of the biggest changes is that the destination will be renamed RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Holland America announced the name change to support the latest enhancements that include new lunch venues, an expanded beachfront, bars, and other incredible features that bring even more tropical appeal.
New Beach Club and Renovations
On the south side of the island, where Holland America guests have access, there will be a brand new beach club with renovated cabanas; an updated lunch venue; and newly renovated facilities for a Bahamian-style update.
Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line said in a statement about the changes:
“Holland America guests have loved Half Moon Cay for its natural beauty since it opened as a port of call in 1997. The south side of the island, where Holland America has always visited, will remain the secluded paradise our guests are accustomed to and a marquee destination for almost every cruise visiting the Caribbean.”
These enhancements are set to be completed 2026, with many 2026 itineraries including the new RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay!
