Royal has debuted many new venues and concepts on their newest ship- Icon of the Seas. Thrill Island was introduced on Icon, and is a neighborhood that is all about adventure and fun. There are 6 fear-inducing waterslides (including the tallest drop slide at sea), a huge rock climbing wall, and the adrenaline-pumping Crown’s Edge- a ropes course/zipline that suspends guests over the side of the ship, 16 decks above the water!
With all this fun and excitement, and neighborhood like this needs a spot for a quick and delicious bite, and that is where Basecamp comes in. This brand new dining venue is a complimentary/specialty hybrid, with delicious included menu options, as well as innovative dishes offered at an up-charge.

Basecamp is the perfect place to take a break for a bite in the middle of a fun day of play. Enjoy the intense water slides, a bit of rock climbing, and mini golf, before grabbing some delicious cheese curds and a smash burger at Basecamp, and then heading right back out to have a great rest of your day. It’s basically your basecamp for a day at Thrill Island!
