Royal Caribbean has just announced plans for their newest private destination – Royal Beach Club Cozumel. Cozumel, Mexico has long been a popular port stop for Royal Caribbean guests, and now they will have the opportunity to enjoy a private island-like experience at this new day-resort, starting in 2026.
The Royal Beach Club will be located on the western coast of the island, and Royal is working closely with the local government on the project, including secretary of tourism of Quintana Roo in Mexico, Bernando Cueto Riestra, and the mayor of Cozumel, Juanita Alonso. In a statement, Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group said:
“We are delighted to build on our longstanding partnership with the local community and government to continue bringing our guests to Mexico. The expansion of our destination offerings aligns with the growing global demand for the ultimate vacation experiences and enables our guests to connect with the beauty of local cultures and people in the places they visit.”
Ultimate Beach Day
The Royal Beach Club Cozumel’s focus is on the Ultimate Beach Day, with the goal of families making memories together in Mexico. The space will feature beautiful beaches and pools, lined with comfortable loungers, umbrellas, daybeds, and private cabanas for rent.
The food and drink scene will include swim-up bars, a restaurant, and a street market to bring guests the tastes of Mexico throughout the day. Activities and excursions double down on the Mexican beach fun with snorkeling and kayaking, as well as hands-on experiences such as tequila tastings and cooking classes.
